At Focus Floors, we use only the most reliable carriers that have proven track records of on time delivery and low rates of damage. We do not include Shipping costs in our online prices, instead we shop for the very best freight rates in your area. You can get a freight estimate from our shopping cart by listing the products and amount of each product plus your ship to zip code or by giving us a call. An order conformation will then be sent to you by email.
Upon Delivery
When your shipment arrives, please inspect packaging (or instruct the person who will be receiving the shipment) for any damage. In the rare event, you should see damage, no matter how slight it may seem, call our customer service immediately, so we may determine the best course of action to take. Taking care of your interest is our best interest.
Residential Delivery
Freight carriers charge $85.00 extra to deliver to a residence including home based businesses. These charges are based upon bringing their 53’ trucks into a neighborhood where the roads and drive ways are too narrow to do so. Other factors are involved as well. There must be someone there to receive the delivery or a $35.00 redelivery fee will be charged. The carrier will call the customer 24 hours in advance to set up a convenient delivery time. Depending on the size of the order you will need someone with you to help unload it from the truck. This is up to the customer. The driver may help, but is not required to do so. Some carriers can make a delivery by a truck with a lift gate if prior request has been made. This does involve an additional charge if the carrier has that service available. Apartments and penthouses will only be delivered to the front door or side walk. It will be up to the customer to transport the tile up to thier apartment.
Business Delivery
Business deliveries are classified as a place of business (excludes home based businesses) that is located in a commercial district which has a loading dock and a way to unload the truck. If it does not have a loading dock then it must have access to get the truck in and out without any access problems such as limited parking or no turn around area. If a customer elects to use the business option for delivery and they do not meet the requirements for a business delivery the customer will be responsible for an additional “limited access fee” that is charged by the freight companies. In this case the delivery would be classified as a limited access delivery which can includes churches, schools, universities, and other institutions, motels, hotels, and all home based businesses.
Local Terminal Pickup
We do offer a local terminal pickup for our customers to help save on the cost of a home delivery. You can do this by sending us an email, requesting a quote, or calling our customer service desk with your home address and then we will send you the location and phone number of the nearest terminal to you by email. This option is the same as a business delivery rate. You will need to select the business option and upon filling out the shipping info. You will need to put the local Terminal address and information as the shipping address that was provided to you by the FocusFloors email that was sent to you.
